Connection & Joy
Established in 2011, Northern Beaches Children’s OT is an occupational therapy practice where neurodiversity, individuality and relationships are valued and celebrated. We believe in the power of connection and joy, we strive hard to really listen to children and their families, meeting them where they are at.
We tune into each
CHILD
We strive for neuro-diversity affirming practice. This means we acknowledge and celebrate the diversity of all minds and all people. The aim of therapy is to find ways to help support children in the areas that are causing them challenges in their daily life whilst appreciating their strengths and uniqueness. We tune into each child and create therapeutic opportunities for growth and development whilst incorporating their individual strengths and interests.
HELPING
you and your child understand
your child’s individual, unique profile.
One of our jobs as occupational therapists is to help you and your child understand your child’s individual, unique profile. This means understanding how they process the sights, sounds, touches and smells around them, how they move their body, how they take in information best and how they plan their movements. This also means understanding what stress looks like to your child and what environmental factors impact on this.
